Drag Scrapers for sand and gravel extraction
up to 30 m under water and 500 t hourly output; a scraper is also ideally suited for extracting gravel from rivers.

Washing and dewatering bucket wheels
In the material processing process in the sand and gravel industry washing, along with separation, is one of the most important steps.

The washing is accompanied by simultaneous necessary separation of the washed material from the washing water and water soluble contaminations. While this takes place during screening of coarse grained material, fine-grained material (sand) or mixed grained material requires special washing, dewatering and recovery plant.

The SMT Washing and Dewatering Bucket Wheel has been specially developed for these tasks. Due to the varying requirements and different, geological material conditions the following series are produced so that they can be optimally used for the whole range of work, from simple gravel dewatering through to fine sand washing, dewatering and recovery:

  • Series “E” bucket wheels up to 5.0m diameters are mainly used for sand recovery within a preparation plant when a certain loss of fine sand is accepted or desired
  • Type E 5009 to E 8018 bucket wheels are primarily used with suction dredgers, pneumatic excavators or other gravel extraction equipment
  • The "ES...BB" series bucket wheel is used when the quantity of water is more than four times that of sand and low fine sand losses are accepted
  • "ES...BL" series bucket wheels are used to avoid any fine sand losses
  • DS...BL" series double bucket wheels and “3S…BL” bucket wheels with three wheel bodies are used for intensive washing, grading and dewatering of highly soiled sand
  • “FS…BL” series fine sand bucket wheels are specially used for fine sand extraction and have a large settling area and low speed

  • Depending on the output, the bucket wheel rotates with only 0.5 - 2 rpm and therefore wear and required power are also extremely low.

    The material is dewatered so well that it can be transported on a rising conveyor belt.

    With the patented "water recycling" up to 60% fresh water can be saved.
